Biography

Isabella Summers is an Emmy-nominated composer, producer and songwriter whose career    spans global chart success, prestige television scoring and feature films. For nearly two decades, she was a founding member, co-writer and producer for Florence + The Machine. As an integral architect of the band's signature sound, she co-wrote and produced prominent multi-platinum tracks including "Dog Days Are Over" and "Cosmic Love," earning five Grammy nominations and multiple ASCAP Pop Awards.

In 2020, Summers transitioned into screen composition with her score for the Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Music Composition. She has since built a reputation as a versatile lead composer for television, scoring three seasons of Apple TV+'s dark comedy Physical and Netflix's mythological series KAOS. Her feature film portfolio includes scoring Netflix's Lady Chatterley's Lover, Focus Features' Lisa Frankenstein, and StudioCanal's family fantasy adaptation The Magic Faraway Tree.

Alongside her screen commissions, Summers maintains an active profile as a solo artist and top-tier collaborator. In January 2026, she released her debut solo album, VILLAIN, a high-concept project that bridges orchestral instrumentation with electronic and hip-hop production. Influenced by the visual and thematic storytelling of filmmakers like Martin Scorsese and Akira Kurosawa, the album features collaborative performances with a diverse roster of artists, including LP, billy woods, Freya Ridings, and Judith Hill.
